OpenOffice 2.3 Released TODAY!!!!

It should be noted that since J.C. (I'm not referring to Johny Carson) was a young fella I've been a dedicated Word Perfect guy, I still have a copy of WP12.01.0 kicking around here somewhere and upgrade after upgrade, owner after owner I stayed a loyal Word Perfect user... maybe it was that ever growing personalized dictionary that started sounding like a drunk Cape Bretoner & allowed such jems as giril (girl) but It just became comfortable.

Then a buddy of mine (a dedicated Linux user) convinced me to download and try a copy about six months ago... is it really possible to fall in love with a software program? I hope so because once I opened the program for the first time I uninstalled my Word Perfect, converted all the documents that I used as cut and paste souses & I've never even felt guilty.

Thanks to a Digg listing I've been using this new release for about a week, the changes are transparent until you suddenly realize that the function you just used worked easier or differently than before, but it all feels right... a very natural and intuitive interface that the user quickly learns and adjusts to suit his/her style.

Get the hint.... you done good! this is a serious program for serious users but with a simplicity that makes it a joy to use. If your not a user ...what are you waiting for....go get it now!
